PatternSeq

The PatternSequencer is a sequencer of its own; it has no reset input and has to be started manually (meaning that it cannot be integrated in a midi sequencer setup).The Sync input has to be connected with the Sync out of a gate seq or, preferably, a MDS8 module, Reset to Reset inputs of connected seq modules, Link to Clock inputs of connected modules, PSQ to PSQ inputs of connected modules.

GateSeq2 has step-hold buttons. To use this feature, the GateOut must be connected to an ADSR envelope.

Cellular Automata

in mathematics, physics, and theoretical biology, a Cellular Automaton (CA) is a collection of cells that change their condition through a number of discrete time steps according to a set of rules based on the states of neighboring cells.

in it's most simplifyied form, it is a  sequencer with outputs for every seq step, and with freely adjustable time/step assignment (NextStep text faders, range 1-16). Additionally, there are gate outs for every 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 clock run (outputs gtBit [0],[1],[2],[3]).
[GtI] triggers the automation; [Freq] is an input for a freq divider; CV-Out [bi] and [uni] output bi- resp. unipolar control values for eg triggering sync sequencer modules with ramp input.
